How much does shipping cost?
We use Australia post for all shipping. The standard cost is AU$12 Australia wide, this includes packing, delivery,tracking and insurance on all parcels.
Some larger items require more shipping - but this is included in the product description page of the item.
How long will it take to get my item?
We do our best to ship all orders as quickly as possible. Orders often ship within 2 business days and our average delivery time is 5 - 7 days, depending on the shipping destination, for in-stock items. However orders may take up to 14 days for delivery.
Can I pick it up in store?
You sure can. Picking up in store is Free. We will call you as soon as your order is ready for collection. Please allow 48 hours.
What does it mean if my item is on backorder?
This website is updated on a weekly basis. Sometimes things go out of stock but still appear online. If an item is temporarily out of stock, we will contact you immediately and inform you of the expected delivery date. Back ordered items are shipped as soon as available. Alternatively you can make a different selection.
What size is my pet?
All of our collars, harnesses and pet apparel are sized in centimeters. Unfortunately it is very difficult for us to determine your pet's size based on its breed or weight, as all pets come in many different shapes and sizes.
Please understand that Bark Avenue offers merchandise manufactured by many different designers and sizes will vary from designer to designer. We suggest you measure your pet carefully and purchase items based on your pet's measurements rather than their size. Please refer to the measurement in centimeters listed next to each size to ensure you choose the correct size for your pet.
For collars we recommend that you measure your pets neck and then add 5cm to allow the collar to pass through the buckle.
For pet beds, we suggest you measure your pet while lying down and add approximately 25cm to determine the ideal bed length. In most cases a cramped bed would be considered uncomfortable, so if in doubt, we recommend ordering the next larger size based on your pet's measurements.
What is your return policy?
Our return policy is in place to protect the health & safety of our four legged friends.
You're the one who knows your best friend best, so you are in the best position to determine the suitability of each product for your pet.
We do not give refunds if you change your mind, or make a wrong decision.
However, we can exchange or provide you with a credit note upon return of unworn items (tagged and de-fluffed please) within 14 days of original purchase.
Please let us know via email as soon as you discover your need to exchange.
Then you need to return the item to us at - Bark Avenue, 69 Jetty Road, Brighton, SA, 5048.
Please include a stamped return parcel to ship the item back to you.
Please do not place a new order for the item(s) you would like in exchange. If you place a new order, your credit card will be charged for that order and you will be issued a store credit for your returned merchandise. Store credits are valid for three months from the issue date and can be used for store or website purchases.
Please note: We do not issue refunds for returned merchandise and cannot honor exchanges for any merchandise that is sent back to us after 14 days, has been used, or is not in its original new condition. All toys, sale, personalized, custom, seasonal and perishable items are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned.
No Exchange on Toys or Food due to health & safety of pets.
How do we pay you?
Bark Avenue accepts payments through Paypal. With paypal you can direct debit from your savings account, or use your credit card securely.
All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST.

PayPal is the most widely recognized and respected independent third party company, based in the United States, which specializes in processing online credit card transactions. Pay Pal is the largest and most respected online payment processor on the Internet with well over 8 million users.
Many people are hesitant to provide credit card information over the Internet. PayPal provides a secure server (SSL) so your transaction is safe, but moreover, when you make a purchase through a PayPal merchant like Bark Avenue, you have additional security because only PayPal, not Bark Avenue, is provided with your credit card information. This helps to reduce the incidence of credit card fraud due to unscrupulous merchants. Bark Avenue wants your online shopping here to be safe and give you the peace of mind that your purchases are entirely safe and secure.
When you proceed with making your online purchase, you will be transferred to the PayPal site where your transaction will be processed. In order to purchase here you will need a PayPal account. If you do not have one, relax. It takes only a few seconds, it's free and best of all it's the safest and most secure service in the world.
So if you do not already have a PayPal account you will need to register - there is no cost to you. If you are already a PayPal member just enter your Email Address and Password. After you have registered once, you are able to make purchases from any PayPal merchant you may wish to do business with in the future. You do not need to register each time.
Who sees my information?
We believe that your privacy and the privacy of all our users is important. At Bark Avenue we are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not distribute or sell your name or personal information about you to any third party EVER. Any information you provide to us with will be held in confidence and used only to improve our services to you. The only information that Bark Avenue receives is your postal address and phone number. All your credit card details are kept private at PayPal.
